Hi all, this is your weekly reminder about the children’s classes.
We will be having the Ballet Class this Friday May 10 from 4 to 5 PM at the Beryl Community Center. There is only this Friday and next Friday (May 17) to finish learning the dance we will be performing next Saturday May 18 at the new Enterprise Community Center (400 S 400 E), so both this week and next week are crucial for those wanting to perform at the Arts Festival. Our performance time is at 12:30 and dancers should get there by 12:10 to get costumes on and warmed up to dance at 12:30.
For the performance, it would be great if all the dancers can wear white or light colored shirts and leggings to go under the tutus.
If your children are intending to perform at the festival, please email me back so we can get a count of who will be there for the performance and who will not. Thanks Tons!
Also this week is the theater class on Thursday May 9 from 4 to 5. There will also be a theater class rehearsal next Thursday May 16 from 4 to 5 and also next Friday May 17, from 4 to 5.
The theater class is also performing at the Arts Festival on the 18th. This will include a mime performance as well as Midsummer Night’s Dream, and another piece (I think she told me). The scheduled performance time is 10:30-11:30 on Saturday May 18th, and the Enterprise Community Center(400 S 400 E). The kids need to get there at 10:00 am to get costumes on and get ready.
Betty is going to time the performances this Thursday, and if they takes longer than the one hour time slot, the performances will be split up with one at 10:30, one at 12:00, and one at 2:00.
Free Children’s Arts Exploration classes sponsored by the Esclanate Valley Arts Council will be held at the Beryl Community Center 291 N Beryl Hwy.
Thanks to everyone who taught and participated in our free children’s art classes for the 2017/2018 school year! We all had a great time and learned a lot.
The arts council is in the process of scheduling arts classes for the 2018/2019 school year. We could use volunteer teachers. If you have any experience in or a hobby or love of any type of art, craft, sewing, music, theater, writing etc. We could use your help.
